you that for most people, it is a tiring topic.&nbsp; The whole world wants to jump on this Weight Loss thing because <br />
it is so popular.&nbsp; They all want to make mucho money on it.&nbsp; Can you see anything wrong with this?&nbsp; Most people <br />
have already spent a small fortune trying to find the magic bullet to make weight go away, including yours truly.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; OK!&nbsp; Let&#8217;s look at the facts. &#8211; It </span><span style="font-size: larger;">is not good to be overweight.&nbsp; What is overweight anyway?&nbsp; Who <br />
determines when someone is overweight?&nbsp; What does overweight look like?</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; First of all, the thinking that someone&#8217;s weight is a personal thing, well.. That&#8217;s a lie.&nbsp; Let me <br />
explain why I say that: </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have heard people say things like &#8211; &ldquo;I&#8217;m not hurting anyone else. Why don&#8217;t they leave me alone?&rdquo; &#8211; <br />
Yes, they are hurting others.&nbsp; The fact is that obesity causes many different conditions in the human body.&nbsp; It <br />
makes parts of the body work harder than they need to, and is responsible for many illnesses, conditions and maladies.&nbsp; <br />
It is also responsible for the larger than necessary deductibles, and premiums on insurance policies, due to the <br />
increased care of those illnesses.&nbsp; We all must pay this cost, because of the increases.&nbsp; Insurance costs are <br />
spread out over a large group to make them more affordable.&nbsp; Life insurance mortality tables are effected by <br />
obesity, and the cost thereof is passed on to all.&nbsp; Not to mention that shortened life spans affect loved ones <br />
who don&#8217;t want to see someone die because of overweight conditions.&nbsp; This is not even the tip of the iceberg<br />
&#8230; so to speak.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We deal with the desire of some to lose weight, and don&#8217;t&nbsp; realize all of the above. For health reasons, <br />
for clothing reasons, one must lose weight.&nbsp; SO MANY manufacturers realize the dire nature of their desire, and <br />
market bogus, non-effective products, and label them as weight loss.&nbsp; They KNOW that a large percentage of people <br />
will jump on-board if they suspect it will give them the miracle body they are looking for. They will pay almost <br />
anything to make this happen.&nbsp;&nbsp; Now&#8230; let&#8217;s get real. First of all, I Love All, no matter what shape you are in.&nbsp; <br />
I am not prejudice against people that are over or under the standard weight tables. </p>
<p>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Any of you that are familiar with my site know that I tell it like it is, and I do not beat around the bush. &nbsp;<br />
So, in that light! What does it mean to go on a diet?&nbsp; What kind of a diet are you dealing with?&nbsp; Do diets work? &nbsp;<br />
The question is both yes and no, but depends on YOUR idea of what diet means&#8230;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;So let&#8217;s start with a definition of diet&#8230;&nbsp; According to Websters dictionary, or whatever dictionary you <br />
want to use: Diet (nutrition) &ndash; the sum of the food consumed by an organism or group.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;A diet is not sudden, or short lived, or temporary.&nbsp; A diet is what we do every day. If we don&#8217;t take in <br />
food, we will eventually die.&nbsp; We will get weak.&nbsp; It was by design that we must eat and take nourishment.&nbsp; We are <br />
accustomed to certain ways of eating, and some things have been done since we were infants.&nbsp; You have heard heavy <br />
people say that being overweight is hereditary.&nbsp; Everyone in my family is large.&nbsp; Is that REALLY true? &nbsp;<br />
I will wager a bet, and say that aside from a few isolated cases where medical reasons are to blame, the major <br />
reason that people within a family are large is due to HABITS.&nbsp; Not heredity. </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge that drugs are at fault, in large part, to the obesity in America. &nbsp;<br />
Many drugs will cause the body to take on extra weight, fat and cause many people to be overweight.&nbsp; This is a sad <br />
fact, but I can not address drugs in this segment.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;For the most part, people should stay away from DIETS, except that they should eat.&nbsp;&nbsp; That part is true. &nbsp;<br />
&ldquo;I eat only carbs, and it is amazing what it is doing for my body!&rdquo; Substitute the word carbs for any other component <br />
of food you like. It is more amazing what the isolation of food substitutes will do TO the body over a long <br />
period of time.&nbsp; It is abnormal to isolate different types of food.&nbsp; You need ALL the different types of food. <br />
So what is a body to do??? </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Common sense is so great, and it amazes me that so many people have so little of it.&nbsp; Or they have it but fail to <br />
exercise it.&nbsp; If you are overweight, you did not get like that overnight.&nbsp; Why would you think you can eliminate it over a <br />
short period of time??? Common sense&#8230; </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Want to lose weight, without going crazy, without buying special foods, without scales, without fear, <br />
without reprisal, without PILLS or plans?&nbsp; I have two words for you.&nbsp; FOOD, WATER. </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;It stands to reason that if you want to lose weight permanently, you will need to make some changes&#8230; permanently. &nbsp;<br />
Does that make any sense to anyone else but me?&nbsp; If you change the way you eat temporarily, and then go back to what you <br />
were doing before, should you expect any different results than what you got when you did those things before? &nbsp;<br />
That is the definition of lunacy&#8230;<br />
</span><br />
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Make life style changes that you can adopt forever.&nbsp; Make changes that you will be able to keep, forever.&nbsp; Eat. &nbsp;<br />
Cut your portion size to &frac12;, forever.&nbsp; You don&#8217;t need all the food you take in.&nbsp; Drink water instead of sweet tea, soft <br />
drinks, energy drinks, etc.&nbsp; You will slowly, surely begin to see those changes.&nbsp; &frac14; pound at a time, it does not matter. &nbsp;<br />
It is permanent. &frac14; pound a week, over a year, is 13 pounds gone, FOREVER. How do you like the sound of that?</p>
<p>
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;One of the most amazing things about people in general is that we can face reality, even if we don&#8217;t like it. &nbsp;<br />
That&#8217;s where decisions come in.&nbsp; If you don&#8217;t like a situation, but don&#8217;t want to make any changes, there is always the <br />
option, (decision) to continue doing what we have been doing, in which case, we will continue to get more of what we have <br />
been getting.&nbsp; If we don&#8217;t like what we have been getting, then we need to change.&nbsp; That is difficult for many people. &nbsp;<br />
Here comes some truth.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;When a person is younger, and the metabolism is higher, that person can get away with some extra treats, and <br />
larger portions of food, because the higher metabolism will burn it up.&nbsp; When a person gets more mature, in other words&#8230; <br />
well&#8230;more&#8230; wise, then the metabolism slows down somewhat, and the larger portions are no longer required, nor tolerated. &nbsp;<br />
That excess is no longer burned up, but stored for possible future use, as&#8230; Dare I say it???&nbsp; Yes, I must.&nbsp; FAT! &nbsp;<br />
There, It&#8217;s out in the open now. But it is what it is. So let&#8217;s deal with it. </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Most people, when they realize that they have garnered more FAT than they really wanted to, want it just gone. &nbsp;<br />
Let&#8217;s DIET and slim down.&nbsp; They usually give it a week or so, and when nothing happens, they give up, even though it <br />
took them several years to put that weight on.&nbsp; Americans have zero patience in these matters. </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Please understand, if you are in this group mentioned above, that it will take time, no matter which method you use. &nbsp;<br />
In fact, it is not even healthy to lose 20,30 or more pounds quickly.&nbsp; Plan on taking time, and be happy when the plan works. &nbsp;<br />
If you take off 2-5 pounds a month, in 12 months, we are looking at 24 &#8211; 60 pounds in a year.&nbsp; That is major, but still <br />
requires patience. </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;OK!&nbsp; I could talk about SlimFast, Alli, or many of the programs that exist out there.&nbsp; I would not even desire <br />
to guess at the number of programs that exist to lose weight.&nbsp; It is a major money maker for many companies. &nbsp;<br />
Lets review the facts on weight loss.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Calories Taken In &#8211; Calories Burned = Excess Calories to Store as Fat</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Take in less calories than you burn, and you will lose weight.&nbsp; So far no mysteries, right?&nbsp; But there are some things <br />
that must be understood. Reduction of caloric intake will result in loss of weight.&nbsp; What &quot;type&quot; of weight, DOES <br />
make a difference. &nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;MUSCLE and FAT are the two major components of weight that we are concerned about.&nbsp; Muscle weighs more than fat, <br />
so if you are losing just fat, you are reducing faster.&nbsp; Chances are, if you reduce calories, and do nothing else, you <br />
WILL achieve weight loss. &nbsp;</p>
<p>FACT:&nbsp; Your body will give up muscle before it gives up fat. It&#8217;s a survival thing, so if you want to understand this, it <br />
will take some study. It IS true.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Fat is burned in muscle tissue, so the more muscle you lose, the less capable your body is to burn fat.&nbsp; How many <br />
of you are now thinking&#8230;&quot;Just a minute here!&nbsp; What are you saying? &quot;&nbsp; (Good for you.)</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Many pundits of weight loss will tell you that you don&#8217;t need to do anything but take their supplements, <br />
and the weight will just fall off&#8230; It&#8217;s true, but misleading.&nbsp; You will also become increasingly incapable of burning <br />
fat, and when you stop the supplements, you will put on more weight than you took off.&nbsp; You will be increasingly <br />
tired, and much lazier feeling.&nbsp; This is understandable,&nbsp; since you have less muscle to move you around now, and will <br />
increase in your fat capacity, which in turn will slow you down a lot. (Unless you are a Manatee and live in the water.) </p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Decreasing your weight is only part of the trick.&nbsp; At the same time, you need to be increasing the muscle <br />
tissue, so the fat will have a way to burn up.&nbsp; It&#8217;s called EXERCISE.&nbsp; I know it&#8217;s a dirty word for most people. &nbsp;<br />
However, there is no way to deny its need, or to burn fat.&nbsp; I would tell you if there was any way to do it without <br />
exercise.&nbsp; &quot;I&quot; wish there were. But I won&#8217;t lie to you, even if you hate me afterward.&nbsp; If you listen to me, you <br />
will love me afterward, when your clean, lush, strong, lean, muscular body looks the way you want it to.&nbsp; And there <br />
is more good news. <br />
&nbsp; &nbsp;<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Exercise is easy to do.&nbsp; Walk in the mall, or anywhere at all, and you are exercising.&nbsp; When you do listen, <br />
and EXERCISE and DECREASE the caloric intake, you will make it possible for your body to burn fat continuously, <br />
and then you will be able to eat some of those other foods that you like so much, but did not think you could have them. &nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;There is a golden rule in all this.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; DO NOT DIET!&nbsp; That is to say, Make lifestyle changes, and make <br />
them permanent. To deprive oneself of something we like will only make us weaker, and eventually will spell failure. &nbsp;<br />
Eat anything you like, but in MODERATION.&nbsp;&nbsp; You will want to follow this plan for the rest of your life.&nbsp; You will <br />
always want to look good, and feel good, and never have to worry about your looks or your weight again. Am I right? &nbsp;<br />
So make the changes, and by all means, use Self-Hypnosis to help you achieve your goals.&nbsp; You really don&#8217;t need pills <br />
or drinks, or any artificial means to achieve all this.&nbsp; Look for the Weight Loss information on this site, and use <br />
the tools available for you.&nbsp; They are worth every cent you will pay for them.&nbsp; Most of all,&nbsp; persevere, and make a <br />
plan.&nbsp; Do this for the rest of your life, not just for a while.&nbsp; Make it work for the most important person in this <br />

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">You can see by their face, and their posture.&nbsp; They wear a perpetual frown on their face.&nbsp; But you can be different.&nbsp; Even if you are one that associates things with &quot;Stinking Thinking&quot;, the good news&nbsp; is that you CAN change.&nbsp; It is much easier to find the negative in any situation, and many people do this without thinking.&nbsp; However, to look for and experience the positive side of any situation is much more rewarding, and beneficial, and freeing.&nbsp; You will have to practice doing this consciously until it becomes a habit. So why is this topic on a site that is about hypnosis?&nbsp; <br />

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Because you can help yourself start thinking in positive ways by using hypnosis.&nbsp; There are many good hypnotist in every area of the country.&nbsp; There are also bad hypnotists, so it is good to ask around, and check out the folks that are practicing.&nbsp; Just because they hang out a shingle does not mean that they know what they are doing, or that they are even experienced.&nbsp; You can usually get a list of practicing and approved hypnotists in your area through some of your local schools and colleges.&nbsp; Some even have a book that you can purchase with a complete listing, by state and area, with the specialty for that professional. &nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;"> I alluded to this information in the last posting also.&nbsp; The <strong>way </strong>we think matters.&nbsp;<strong> Wha</strong><strong>t</strong> we think matters.&nbsp; What we<strong> read </strong>matters.&nbsp; What we <strong>listen</strong> to matters.&nbsp; <strong>Who we listen to matters.</strong><br />

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The way we think colors our life, affects our actions, and matters because we react to what we believe.&nbsp; The way we think affects what we believe, and the way we believe becomes our &quot;reality&quot;, even if it is not true.&nbsp; So yes, the WAY we think matters. <br />

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp; What we think matters because it may not be true.&nbsp; How often do we hear about something, and automatically believe it is true, because we heard it, on the news, or the newspaper.&nbsp; That does not make it true.&nbsp; What it makes it is NEWS, which is intended to sell newspapers, and cause people to turn on their radio.&nbsp; The scandal papers are full of lies, but people will purchase them all the time.&nbsp; WHY?&nbsp; They already know that most of it is lies, so why do they purchase them, and make the authors rich?&nbsp; I don&#8217;t have the answer to that, but I can assure you that people that purchase the scandal papers are guilty of S.T.&nbsp; <br />

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp; W</span><span style="font-size: medium;">HAT we read matters.&nbsp; What is in your library?&nbsp; What kind of things do you read. What&nbsp; kind of books are on your shelf, magazines in your bathroom, or magazine rack?&nbsp; You might be surprised when you research things that you read, and the way it can and does affect your life and what you believe and do.&nbsp; There is one book that is not in a lot of libraries, and definitely should be.&nbsp; The Holy Bible, is the greatest book in the world, and yet many libraries do not include it.&nbsp; Mind you, this is not a religious site, but the contents of this book can change you life, and to NOT mention it would be a crime.</span>&nbsp; <span style="font-size: medium;">What we read <u>DOES</u> matter. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: larger;"> <br />
</span>&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp; What we <strong>listen</strong> to matters!&nbsp; Now how could that possibly make any difference?&nbsp; Have you ever noticed that some songs you&nbsp; listen to can put you in a mood&#8230; and you find yourself acting differently, happy, accomodating, and humming, singing, and so forth!&nbsp; Music has a huge effect on our lives.&nbsp; The kind of music is huge, much more than some people would like to admit.&nbsp; Has anyone other than myself noticed that as music has evolved, and lyrics have grown negative and condesending, crime is up, murder is up, evil in society is up!&nbsp; </span>I<span style="font-size: medium;"> cannot be the only person in the world to notice this.&nbsp; It is huge!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It is also why many churches and meeting venues use music to get their audience into the right &quot;mood&quot;.&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; Yes, what you listen to matters.&nbsp; </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp; The last in this list is WHO we listen to matters. Sometimes we are influenced by the company we keep.&nbsp; We call them our friends.&nbsp; No matter how much good we may be doing, or how good we are feeling, those certain &quot;friends&quot; can make us do things we would not normally do,&nbsp;&nbsp; If we are listening to people that tear us down, and make us do things we would not normally do on our own, and they respect us so little that they don&#8217;t mind that we do things they KNOW are not things we do normally, then I suggest you find NEW&nbsp;friends, who will respect you and your values.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; They are not really your friends if they won&#8217;t respect what you value.&nbsp; It would be time for a change.&nbsp; Yes, this IS part of positive thinking.&nbsp; It works!!</span></p>
<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;"> <span>What I am trying to convey is simple.  When anything happens in life, the negative stands out with bright lights, easy to find.  The positive is more rewarding, but lurking in corners where you have to look for it, and search it out.  But that is only until you get used to where you need to find it.  Positive becomes a way of life for people.  It becomes automatic, and will cause people to attract to you.  It is refreshing.  Have you ever met someone that was so positive and upbeat that you just wanted to be around that person?  That is the POWER of POSITIVE THINKING.  It is contagious.</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: larger;"><br />
&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Could it be that our Creator is using all this havoc to send us a message, that we need to pull together, care for each other, and be truly a nation of people that supports each other, no matter where we come from, or who we worship, or what we believe in.  We are all human, and we all live and we all die sooner or later.  What I do know is this.  All things are positive, <u>if we believe and think they are</u>.  It is up to us.  I personally have changed because of all that has happened, and I am more generous and giving than I ever was.  I wonder what would happen if everyone did the same!   </span></span><span style="font-size: larger;"> </span></p>

<p>I<span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">n my everyday life, I have people tell me all the time that they &quot;can&#8217;t&quot; do something.&nbsp; I absolutely believe them.&nbsp; You can not argue with what someone thinks about themselves.&nbsp; It is their belief, and their life is molded according to that and many other beliefs.&nbsp; It is what it is!&nbsp; Right?&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Not exactly!&nbsp; It IS what you believe it is, and that could not be more true.&nbsp; How can you possibly change what you believe, for that is truly the only way to make changes.&nbsp; You will not change anything if you don&#8217;t believe it is possible.&nbsp; <u>TRUTH!</u>&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">If I tell you something, and I don&#8217;t prove that what I am telling you is in fact true, it will not mean anything to you.&nbsp; I may as well be lying to you.&nbsp; I can prove this is true.&nbsp; Are YOU&nbsp;ready for this?</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">First, I am going to tell you that YOU&nbsp;CAN change the way you believe.&nbsp; Then I am going to make a statement, which some people will acknowledge as fact because they already know.&nbsp; What I am going to say IS FACT, but I will prove it to those who may not believe, or understand.&nbsp; The <strong>statement:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; IMAGINATION IS AS GOOD AS THE REAL THING, IN FACT YOUR MIND DOES NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Some people may want to re-evaluate what you say to your children about imagination after this, but I will&nbsp; leave that up to you.&nbsp; Now, to prove the statement above, let&#8217;s conduct a little experiment.&nbsp; Are you ready!&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">For this exercise, I am going to ask you to use your imagination.&nbsp; Don&#8217;t worry!&nbsp; It will be easy&#8230; I promise.&nbsp; First, relax completely. Take a couple of deep deep breaths, and relax your stomach area completely.&nbsp; Empty your mind of all tension by thinking of something enjoyable.. like sex.&nbsp; OK, You use what you want, I&#8217;ll use what I want.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Now I&nbsp;want you to picture in your mind a nice bright yellow, firm lemon.&nbsp; See the lemon, see the dimply waxy looking peel of the lemon.&nbsp; Feel it in your hand.&nbsp; It is truly firm.&nbsp; Bring it up to your nose, and scratch the peel slightly with your finger nails.&nbsp; (Don&#8217;t have fingernails.l.. then pretend)&nbsp; Then smell that spot on the lemon.&nbsp; Oh, that lemony odor is so nice.&nbsp; It permeates your senses, fills your nostrils with lemon scent.&nbsp; Roll the lemon on the table top to release the juices inside, and then hold the lemon in your left hand, or right!&nbsp; Take a small paring knife, and pierce the peel of the lemon.&nbsp; Please be careful as the knife is quite sharp&#8230;&nbsp; Whoops!&nbsp; That spray of lemon juice that just shot out filled the surrounding air.&nbsp; It was really juicy, as the juice is now running down your hand.&nbsp; Lick the juice off your hand now. I hope you did not get any in your eyes.&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Does anyone begin to sense their saliva glands working overtime at this moment?&nbsp;&nbsp; Your mouth filling with water?&nbsp; I thought so, but&#8230; It is not a real lemon.&nbsp; How is that possible?&nbsp; We are just IMAGINING this lemon.&nbsp; So&#8230; if you don&#8217;t have a real lemon, and are only using your imagination, but are reacting as if you &quot;believe&quot; the lemon was real&#8230;&nbsp; I suppose that means&#8230; SURE!&nbsp; Your mind did not know the difference between what is real, and what is imagined.&nbsp;&nbsp; You see!&nbsp; It IS TRUE.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">You can change what you believe about anything.&nbsp; You can NOT&nbsp;change something that occurred, or something you did, or something that happened to you.&nbsp; You CAN change the way you BELIEVE in it, or about it.&nbsp; You CAN change the way you perceive it, the resulting thoughts about it.&nbsp; All this CAN&nbsp;change, and this will change your BELIEF system concerning it.&nbsp; This is done all the time.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Mind Over Matter is so true.&nbsp; What is your situation that needs changing?&nbsp; What is it that YOU&nbsp;believe that is controlling you in ways you want to change?&nbsp; Something to thing about it, isn&#8217;t it?&nbsp;</span></span></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: larger;">Positive Attitude</span></strong><br />
&nbsp;<br />
The main thing most people do not realize is that the human mind does not process negative thoughts.&nbsp; Parents believe that telling their children NOT to do something will work, but in essence, the do exactly what they are told NOT to do.&nbsp; If you understand this, when you tell anyone NOT to be nervous, they will do what you tell them. &quot;BE NERVOUS&quot;&nbsp; NOT isn&#8217;t processed, and the result is a command to be nervous.&nbsp; They will do exactly that!&nbsp; Think of any command, and it works the same way.&nbsp; You are in the mall with the children, and what do you tell them?&nbsp; &quot;DON&#8217;T RUN&quot;.&nbsp; What do the children do?&nbsp; They run, because you told them to do so.&nbsp; The command &quot;don&#8217;t run&quot; becomes the command &quot;RUN&quot;.&nbsp; You see, they DO listen. </p>
<p>A hypnotist is a person that is trained in the way the human mind accepts thoughts.&nbsp; This is why people go to a hypnotist.&nbsp; If one knew all the ways that they could think properly, they could hypnotize themselves.&nbsp; That is where I am going with this website.&nbsp; I want people to understand how to hypnotize themselves.&nbsp; The results would be limitless, and the benefits are huge.&nbsp; The other benefit is that people will learn how to phrase things in ways that are not confrontational, and people will accept what you say much better. </p>
<p>You see, when you use language that puts people on alert, it could cause them to reject what you are saying, and at times they don&#8217;t hear anything after a certain point.&nbsp; What you have to say may be good, and the result of hearing it may be beneficial, however; when said the wrong way, it could fall on &quot;deaf ears&quot;.&nbsp; So let us embark on a journey together to proper thinking, and beneficial listening.</p>
<p>I hope I don&#8217;t lose anyone on this page.&nbsp; If you become confused, please let me know, and I will try to clarify what I am saying.</p>
<p>Always begin a conversation with a positive compliment.&nbsp; People love to be complimented, and it sets them in a mood to listen to more of what you are saying.&nbsp; Be certain that you don&#8217;t follow up with something negative, or you will lose your audience, even if only an audience of one.&nbsp; The most negative statement can always be phrased in a positive light, no matter what it is.&nbsp;&nbsp; Basically, I want to tell an employee that they are fired.&nbsp; This is ALWAYS negative.&nbsp; No-one wants to hear these words. Please examine the following paragraph:</p>
<p>&quot;Joshua, &lt;employee name&gt;, you know that I value the work you do for this company.&nbsp; You have always shown that you are interested in what this company does, and I really appreciate that!&nbsp; I know that you want what is best for the company, as do I. <br />
&nbsp;&nbsp; In the past year, things have really been tough for us, and we have lost a lot of business.&nbsp; Our company mission is to never lose anyone that performs a valuable service.&nbsp; When you offered your services to us originally, we were in a much better position, and could take advantage of your expertise.&nbsp;&nbsp; In spite of that, if we are not earning what we need to, then some adjustments need to be made. I find myself in a position right now that I have to make some of those adjustments.&nbsp; If you were in my position, what actions do you think you would have to take? &quot;</p>
<p>Listen intently to what they are saying.&nbsp; In most cases, the employee will understand exactly what you are telling them, and will usually know where this is going to lead, but they may really have a good point.&nbsp; If you must let the person go, then offer your support in assisting them to find another job, or in additional training to make this work for them.&nbsp; Remember that a positive spin on things will lessen the effect of a bad action. </p>
<p>Note that not once did I say anything negative in the about paragraph.&nbsp; Realize that we are all in life&#8217;s journey together, and if you always do what you can to help others, it will pay huge dividends for you down the road also.</p>
<p>The key here is to always always always phrase things in a positive light.&nbsp; This may require some serious thought initially, but it becomes second nature after you adapt to it.&nbsp; Always phrase what you want, not what you want to avoid.&nbsp; Point! </p>
<p>&quot;I want to stop smoking&#8230;&quot; / This phrase has a devastating effect.&nbsp; It sets the subconcious on alert, because it may not be something that is desireable to do, and it basically says that we need to make some change, which is not something the human mind is good at.&nbsp; How about phrasing this statement in a positive light, highlighting what we really want&#8230; </p>
<p>&quot;I want to breathe clear air, healthy air, and feel the benefits of my lungs working perfectly, without any effort or obstruction.&quot;&nbsp; This is completely positive, and says what we want.&nbsp; Yes, in order to do so, we will need to stop smoking.&nbsp; But does it not sound much better?&nbsp; The mind can&#8217;t possibly object to this, because it is for the well being of our person. The human mind is always about self-preservation, and will always accept things that will benefit you.</p>
<p>Wording is extremely important.&nbsp; You can learn how to phrase things positively, and maximize your hypnosis sessions so that you benefit.&nbsp; Read materials that promote and teach you how to speak positively, and phrase things better.&nbsp; Even a book on hypnosis will help you to do this.&nbsp; I will let you do your own research, and I highly recommend you think about &quot;HOW&quot; you word your statements.&nbsp; What do you want? </p>
<p>In the mall, instead of &quot;Don&#8217;t Run&quot;, how about &quot;Walk with me, so we don&#8217;t miss seeing the stores we want to visit.&nbsp; I need you to help me in case I don&#8217;t see them.&quot;&nbsp; You have asked them to do what you want, and elicited their assistance to occupy their minds.&nbsp; Good job all around.&nbsp; They will not run. </p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; Isn&#8217;t that an interesting question?&nbsp; Have you ever thought about that when someone tells you about hypnosis?&nbsp; Its like, &quot;Yeah, I&#8217;ve heard about that stuff..&nbsp; Kind of spooky isn&#8217;t it?&quot;&nbsp; If people only knew!&nbsp; Read On. <br />
</span></h1>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp; There is&nbsp; only one reason that many people feel that way about hypnosis.&nbsp;</span> <span style="font-size: medium;">They don&#8217;t know about it, and don&#8217;t understand it.&nbsp; I hope this site will change that. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;"> First of all, hypnosis is an alternative treatment.&nbsp; It is in the same realm as acuapuncture, and some of the other alternatives you may have heard of.&nbsp; We will deal here only with hypnosis, as it is the topic of this site.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; How valid a treatment is hypnosis?&nbsp; Another excellent question.&nbsp; The answer will vary depending on who you ask.&nbsp; Let me tell you about a life experience that I had in practice that may answer this for you:&nbsp; </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; In 2003, I&nbsp;lived in the wonderful state of Delaware, where I did most of my cases on referral.&nbsp; I did stop smoking sessions, weight loss and phobia sessions all the time. On occasion,&nbsp; I would receive a call from a Medical Office or Dental Office, and they would request that I see patients that they were either having difficulties with, or were out of options.&nbsp; This happens more times that you would believe.&nbsp; Doctors are not magicians, and there are times that they have no idea what to do with their difficult patients.&nbsp; There are reasons for this to occur, but that may be another topic. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;"> On this particular occasion, the doctor had a patient with recurring pain that he attempted to treat with various drugs, after doing a number of tests.&nbsp; The tests were all negative, and although he felt the pain could be imagined, although still quite real for his patient.&nbsp; The patient complained that while the drugs were having some success with the pain, the feeling of being drugged and foggy were not satisfactory.&nbsp; As a last resort, I was consulted. <br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; When I saw this patient, I agreed with the doctor that I felt the pain was indeed imagined more than medically caused.&nbsp; I treated the patient in three sessions, introducing them to the methods of hypnosis, and gaining information from the patients past.&nbsp; I was able to suggest a cure, and the patients condition was completely abated after three sessions.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The very first thing to realize is that in this particular case, there was no need to know WHAT caused the patients problem.&nbsp; There was absolutely no requirement that I should delve into the private matters of the client at all.&nbsp; They knew, and were able to realize in their own mind what the exact cause of that pain was.&nbsp; Once they knew, and I&nbsp;had permission from his sub-conscious mind,&nbsp; I was able to suggest to him that he no longer needed to feel the way he had, and could let the pain disappear, as it no longer served any purpose for him.&nbsp; That was all it took.&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; I know I&nbsp;made it all sound simple, but it really was.&nbsp; Did I effectively treat this client?&nbsp; YES.&nbsp; Was it a medical treatment?&nbsp; Not really.&nbsp; Did it fulfill the purpose we set out to accomplish?&nbsp; Yes.&nbsp; The purpose was to eliminate the pain without drugs or any other therapies.&nbsp; Success. Now, the question we started this article with&#8230;</span> <span style="font-size: larger;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">If Hypnosis is real, why are more people not using it?</span> </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;">In the instance above, would this person have gone to a hypnotist to resolve this problem in the first place?&nbsp; Probably not. He was convinced that his problem was a medical problem, because it involved pain.&nbsp; That is certainly understandable.&nbsp; Will he consult a hypnotist now that he has learned what they can really do?&nbsp; Most likely he will.&nbsp; But it is a learned response to seek a physician when we are ill.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The truth is that most educated and professional hypnotists will not handle a case if they suspect it is a medical problem.&nbsp; I would much rather take a case on referral, because then I know that medical problems have usually been ruled out.&nbsp; I will always take a case from a medical professional or dental professional&#8230;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Honestly, there are many, many, many people in our society today, taking many, many, many drugs for many, many, many problems which could be cured and put to rest.&nbsp; Why is that?&nbsp; Let&#8217;s blame it on the doctors, right?? </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; First of all, remember that we said earlier that doctors are NOT magicians.&nbsp; Then why do we expect them to be?&nbsp; Because of OUR&nbsp;expectations, they will prescribe medicine, and hope for the best.&nbsp; That&#8217;s not the doctors fault.&nbsp; It is the patients fault, because that&#8217;s what they expect the doctor to do.&nbsp; The doctor makes money when you go, so economically, it is prudent for the doctor to see you.&nbsp; They are in business, and they need to make money, just like all of us do.&nbsp; It pays the bills. It pays the salaries of office staff.&nbsp; If the public opinion about doctors would change, you could see more doctors referring patients out.&nbsp; Would most patients be okay with a doctor that sends them to a hypnotist?&nbsp; Thank about that question&#8230;&nbsp; What kind of pictures come up in your head.&nbsp; What kind of thoughts and questions does this question engender?&nbsp; </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A Hypnotist or Hypnotherapist is another method of taking care of things that bother you.&nbsp; It is NOT&nbsp;always the method to use, and referrals of clients to MD firms is more prevalent than MD firms to Hypnotist.&nbsp; T H A T&nbsp; is a crime.&nbsp; It does not need to be.</span></span></p>
